Class News:I know some of our classmates are already traveling and some of you are planning to be on the go. Judd and Marea Jones have been in London visiting their Son and family. Owen and Carol Hooten are in Austria visiting friends. Our plans are to spend as much time at the lake as possible and go to Toronto in August where it will be cooler. Let me hear from some of you and send me pictures of your journeys , long or short, to share with your classmates.

Below you see the pairing and courtship of two Mallard ducks back in early spring.

Richard and I enjoy animal and bird watching.

Below is a pileated woodpecker. They are large ( 40-49 Cm long) N. American woodpeckers and are in east Texas. Notice the size as compared to the Mockingbird.

Here is the result of the pairing. Seven or eight ducks hatched and Momma duck takes

them for a swim.

This guy is always looking the other way when you want a frontal shot.
